Marchés publics de Montréal
The Marchés publics de Montréal is a public network of a multitude of markets with the mission to improve access to fresh produce that brings Montrealers closer to local producers, market gardeners, retailers, restaurateurs, and agri-food artisans.
Design Thinking
After visiting the Atwater market to actually see what I was working for, i got inspired by all the beautiful and organic shapes of the produces that were offered. I used that as a starting point for what I was about to design.
Design MAKING
I first decided for the bottles of the juices to be glass bottles, considering that sustainable since they can be reused over and over again.
Inspired by the main indredients of each juice combination, I created labels that incorporate the produce in the middle as a continuous organic shape, really amplifying the rounded shapes in each, the whole thing being connected together seamlessly.
The colors take inspiration from the ingredients’ colors, without being too bright, still going for a more zen vibe and letting the color of the actual juice stand out. I altered a serif typeface for the name of the bottles, contrasting with the sans-serif type used for the rest of the type on the label.
